Riley Keough is remembering some tough love she got from her famous mom as a teenager.
Appearing on the Wednesday, Jan. 15 episode of , the Daisy Jones and the Six actress spoke about how her mother, the late Lisa Marie Presley, reacted to her arrest as a teenager.
"[Lisa Marie] experienced her phase of rebellion. I went through something similar, sneaking out to spend time with friends I wasn't supposed to be with, which led to getting arrested," Keough, 35, reminisced. "I did get arrested, though I've never mentioned it before. It happened once."
Keough revealed that she was taken into custody as a teenager for breaking and entering. "I attended a gathering at what I thought was my friend's place, but I later found out it was actually a house on the market," she clarified.

"The police showed up, and the majority managed to escape. In the end, around ten of us were taken into custody. My mom was furious. She said, 'You brought this on yourself, young lady.'"
Keough said she was lucky that news of her arrest didn't make the newspapers, but she did get grounded for three months for her 15th or 16th birthday while Presley was in Las Vegas. "I had to call her and tell her to come back from Vegas and pick me up in prison."
"I’ve never shared this with anyone before! She was saying, 'I just can’t make it there,'” she went on, drawing a parallel between her own anxiety and her mother’s. “So, she asked my aunt to pick me up. We both had our moments as teenagers."

The Zola star completed her mother's posthumous memoir From Here to the Great Unknown. Presley asked Keough to help her with the project before she died, and Keough pored over tapes Presley recorded for the book, which was published in October 2024.
Keough spoke to PEOPLE about her mother's death ahead of the book's release.
"My mother did everything she could to be strong for me and my younger sisters after Ben's passing, yet we could see the deep sorrow she carried," she reflected. "She may have succumbed to complications from her surgery, but we all understood that her heart was shattered."
